Gallbladder cancer is three times more common in women than in men. More than 70% of patients are older than 60 years, making this disease often an old age condition. Typical symptoms include anorexia, dull, uncomfortable stomach ache and discomfort, bloating, and sensitivity to particular foods or drinks. Patients experience unexplained weight loss for different causes. Although they are very uncommon, gallstone cramps can have similar symptoms, including spasmodic discomfort under the right rib arch. Nausea, vomiting, and a momentary yellow colouring of the skin may occur alongside convulsions. However, it can also be an indication of tumour spread. Persistent jaundice can also happen if the tumor’s position prevents bile from flowing into the small intestine.
